Medal Rescue™

Reuniting Australian War Service

Medals with Families

About Us

Establised in 2009, the purpose of Medal Rescue™ is to "rescue" medals from the open marketplace and return them to the veterans or their families.

As some of our own family and ancestors have served Australia in times of peace and war, we are mindful of the sacrifice, effort and commitment these servicemen and women and others have made for our country across the generations.

The medals are tangible items that represent these veterans and what they did for Australia, and form an important part of our national heritage and history.

Medal Rescue would appreciate any:

  • medal donations for us to research and reunite with veterans and families,
  • information to help us locate veterans or their families today, and
  • financial donations to help us purchase medals in the marketplace.

The founder of Medal Rescue is a former Royal Australian Air Force Operations Officer and NSW Police Officer; and recipient of the Australia Defence Medal, the National Medal for Service (1st Clasp), and NSW Police Medal for Diligent and Ethical Service (3rd Clasp).
